It is said that banana breads are made in the US and became popular in the 1930s. They typically used ripe bananas that they didn’t throw them away, they mixed with wheat and baking powders and became so popular as sweet breads. Since ripe bananas are sweet, they just taste like cake.

Does banana have nutrients?

Yes absolutely! Bananas seem very simple and easy to eat yet, according to my favorite health information, it is full of nutrients. It has water, vitamins, and minerals inside. I always think that we all should eat more fruit!

  1. Preheat oven to 350F (180C). Line 8.4×3.4 loaf pan with parchment paper. (My loaf pan is around 3.5 cups. If you use a 9×5 loaf pan (8 cups), please set the servings number to 4.)
  2. Put your favorite nut (20g) into a food processor and blend until it becomes your favorite texture (Blend until for about 10 seconds, before it becomes nut flour!) and put into a bowl.
  3. Put bananas into the same food processor and after it becomes a paste, put into same the bowl.
  4. Bring all the ingredients and put them into the same bowl.
  5. Mix well.
  6. If it's too watery, you can add extra oats and if it's too dry (it's going to be more cookie-like), add a little bit more plant-based milk. You can adjust as you like.
  7. Pour the batter into the loaf pan.
  8. Bake in the oven for 40 minutes.
  9. Slice after it has completely cooled.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it become like a cookie?

If you don't put enough watery ingredients (oat milk or banana), it could be a cookie-like texture. If you love it I am happy. However, if you want to make sure it is moist banana bread, you can always add and mix extra plant-based milk or banana.
