How to Make Homemade Nut Butter

Finish for Homemade Nut Butter pinit

Hi, beauties! Are you excited to know, how to make homemade nut butter?
This recipe applies to any nuts such as almonds, walnuts, cashews, and macadamia nuts. All you need to prepare is ‘roasted’ nuts and a food processor (or some blender works).

Why do we make homemade nut butter?

It is easy to buy from organic supermarkets yes I know. However, sometimes it includes unhealthy oil and additional salt and it is way more healthy and fresh when we make it by ourselves.

I used to buy ‘vegan butter’, but I realized that it has canola oils that sound not that healthy in my body (One of the questions I always love to ask is Does this make my body beautiful when I eat it?’) and I was thinking ‘What is the great substitute for baking my cakes and cookies?’ then, As experimenting and trying something new to my recipes, I found out that it is super easy to make homemade nut butter that became a substitute for vegan butter or any oils for the dessert recipes.

How can we use the nut butter?

We can spread this fresh nut butter to your favorite gluten-free bread and pancakes but also you can add them to bake delicious and healthy breads and cakes!

Can I use this method to make almond nut butter?

Absolutely! In fact, almond nut butter is one of the most favorite of mine.
I don’t usually eat with extra nut butter, but I love the smell of freshly roasted almonds when I make those!

So with that said, let’s dive into today’s recipe!

  2. Put all the nuts into a food processor and after turning it on, leave for 3 minutes. First, it will become nuts flour and then become like a ball. Leave until it becomes butter texture.

Note

I made it with one cup of mixed nuts and you can also choose your favorite nuts and amount. Make as much as you want! If you taste this fresh and healthy nut butter, you cannot go back to already-made nut butter at an organic super market (wink!)

Frequently Asked Questions

How long can I store them?

As long as it is in the jar or container (avoid hotness and humidness), I see other recipes say that you can store one week for up to one month. However, I always make fresh ones and I have never tried more than up to 2 days. It is always better to have fresh ones.
