Today, I am so excited to share with you one of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned in 150 days as a raw vegan!
And if you’re curious about going raw vegan, I highly recommend reading this article on why I started this lifestyle and the 7 benefits of becoming raw vegan.
Let’s start today’s article!
My Raw Vegan Journey
About a year ago, I discovered Medical Medium by Mr. Anthony William through Mr. Tony Robbins’ Life Mastery. Have you ever done it? I thought I was already healthy but I was so fascinated by the beautiful recipes—fruit cereals and leafy green salads—and my eyes lit up like emoji Haha.
At the time, I was already vegan and Mr. Anthony taught me more about true health such as getting the body alkaline, letting go of acidity, and eating water-rich foods. I love the one beautiful healthy tip that he taught me was never to heat leafy greens. I truly loved incorporating more fruits and greens into my meals after discovering Medical Medium.
Over time, I started eliminating grains and other foods that were not healing and focusing on more raw fruits and vegetables. Whenever I had cooked food, especially with oil and fried, my body felt not good because I had already adapted to a raw vegan lifestyle.
And since 99% of people are eating bread or rice as a staple for each meal, I was wondering are there any people who eat like me, only fruits and veggies? Then I discovered people like Ms. Gillian Berry, Ms. Cara Brotman & Mr. Markus Rothkranz and it felt so wonderful to see beautiful people who live this lifestyle with a beautiful mindset and elevated spirituality.
I actually knew about raw vegan because I love to create vegan desserts (baked cookies since I was 3) but I didn’t know much except raw vegan desserts and raw vegan people may exist only 1% in this world so I’m incredibly happy and excited to connect with others in this amazing community.
The Most Valuable Lesson
Here’s what I’ve come to realize after almost 5 months as a raw vegan: Focus on what works best for you.
In today’s world, we search everything before asking ourselves first and trusting our intuition, we are so used to searching for answers outside of ourselves, trusting others before trusting our intuition. Especially because of the school system, we are taught there is one or right answer from the outside instead of our own.
When I first became a raw vegan, I didn’t know if I could eat pumpkin or sweet potato raw so I used to ask in the raw vegan Facebook group community such as Can I eat pumpkin or sweet potato raw? But later I realized the most important thing is to ask myself. How do I feel? Do I enjoy the taste? By the way, I enjoy both raw and steamed pumpkin and sweet potato. haha
Of course, it is so fantastic to learn from those who have been doing this lifestyle for many years but ultimately, it’s about own experimenting and experiencing what works for you. We’re all different, and that’s what makes life so beautiful.
There are quite contradictory opinions that both seem very correct and the right answer’ such as MM says ACV is not good but Mr. Markus Rothkranz says it is good for health. Some long-term raw vegan people say to eat more greens then other people say fruits are the best.
It will be very confusing so the most important thing is to always ask yourself.
What do I think? and How do I feel?
Everyone is just saying their experience based on them. Each person’s experience is completely different, we have different preferences, tastes, and lifestyles. There is no right or wrong answer. Just take what resonates and follow your heart.
We can listen to others for their experience if water fasting is good, juice fasting is good, but you can only experiment and experience by yourself and find your own truth.
The great thing is that the more you love yourself and live your own truth, you don’t have time to judge others because life is too short and you will be able to only see what beauty in them.
In these 5 months, I learned to truly live with my own truth and trust and listen to my body no matter what.
What to Eat?
Everyone’s body, hair, skin, and teeth are completely different and there are many varieties of veggies and fruits so focus on what works the best always listen to the body, Keep a journal of how the body and energy feel after each.
As long as you’re not harming yourself, animals, or nature, focus on what feels good and brings you joy.
How about Nutrients?
I think BMI or nutrition doesn’t matter because everybody’s body completely is different! There is only one YOU. There are not the same people on the planet before or after.
We need to back to our innate nature, not science! We are often caught by fruits and veggies’ nutrient facts but the most important thing before thinking about and absorbing all the beautiful nutrients from the food, we want to eliminate the toxins so that we can absorb them.
Also, all the detox symptoms can vary and time will be completely different because we are truly individual.
And secondly, do you like the taste of it, if you don’t like the taste, even though some people say it’s good for your health, it might not be for you.
Wild animals never count calories, check the nutrients, or check the time to eat. I think we sometimes think too much. haha
Again, As long as you’re not harming yourself, animals, or nature, focus on what feels good and brings you joy.
The more you cleanse physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually, the easier to understand what kind of food you should be eating.
The body will always tell you, sometimes more fruits, sometimes more greens, You don’t need to be 120% strict or aim for perfection because life is all about flow and every day and seasons are different, just like nature.
